Double Diesel (f3)
Mother — Sour Diesel/Iranian Early Flower
Father — original nycd/stardawg
Flowering: 7-8 weeks
Harvest Outdoors – mid to end September in PNW
Height: 4.5 – 7 feet
Structure: solid well-spaced branching on wide bush.
The mother in this cross came from Sour Diesel seed acquired over ten years ago — a special phenotype of Sour Diesel grown for its more sturdy structure compared to typical sour diesel, and particularly for its powerful sativa-leaning effect.
To get it to finish outdoors on or before the end of September, I hit it with some Iranian Early Flower pollen. Females from the resulting seed were then selected and pollinated with an impressive orriginal New York City Diesel (from original cut) x Stardawg male.
The outcome has been consitent – producing plants with great structure and little to no growing issues. These plants yield better than either parent, finish before the threat of rain and inclement weather, and produce high quality flowers with even higher quality taste and effect. Growers will find up to 20% of plants will show purple coloration as flowering advances. These can become quite lovely ornamental specimens in the garden.
Double Diesels do very well indoors and out. Outdoors, most plants will be ready to harvest on or before the end of September under typical Pacific Northwest conditions.
